Lithuania continued their triumphal march through group D with a comfortable 69-55 victory over the French national team. The Baltic side is undefeated so far and has guaranteed the first place in their group with a 4-0 record with one game remaining. Despite a fairly big margin of winning, the start of the game must have been scary for coach Kestutis Kemzura.

Lithuania suffered two losses against Spain in friendly games leading up to the World Championship in Turkey, however it was Lithuania who took the win when it really mattered. Kestutis Kemzura’s players showed character and edged Spain76-73 (11-22, 24-21, 18-21, 23-9) in a thriller on Tuesday to move to a 3-0 record in the tournament.
