Having defeated Alba in Vilnius a week ago, Lietuvos Rytas came out on top on Tuesday in Berlin as well, taking an 79-62 victory and thereby eliminating the Germans from further contention for a Eurocup quarterfinal spot. The Lithuanian team took the control of the game from the get-go, before pulling ahead to a more substantial lead in the beginning of the second quarter at 30-18, behind a superb performance by Renaldas Seibutis.

Lithuania will play a friendly with the Great Britain basketball team game before the Olympics as both national teams will prepare for the tournament in Houston, thanks to the relations to Houston Rockets from both sides. Great Britain, the hosts of the Olympics, gave a promise to Lithuanian Basketball Federation to warm-up before the Olympics in Houston.

Despite stepping on the heels of Zalgiris for 31 minutes, Neptunas was outclassed by the Lithuanian champions in the final period, as the club from Kaunas came away with a 90-67 (19-20, 26-21, 20-18, 25-8) victory from Klaipeda on Sunday. The hosts had gotten within three points in the beginning of the fourth quarter after Simas Galdikas converted an and-one play, before Zalgiris went on a 14-0 run to decide the outcome of the game.

Lietuvos Rytas strengthened its position in the VTB League standings, easing past Enisey 101-62 (27-16, 23-16, 19-12, 22-18) behind a dominating performance from Jonas Valanciunas in Vilnius on Saturday. Valanciunas scored 21 points, grabbed eight rebounds and added two blocked shots in for the home team, as Lietuvos Rytas improved to a 6-5 record and moved up to the third place in Group B, while Enisey, with a 3-7 record, are eighth.
