Lietuvos Rytas trained even through the holidays, while players could only dream about some free days. The club from the capital played six games in ten days and won them all.
Due to a huge load on the players not all of them could hold it together. Justas Sinica and Milko Bjelica started feeling a pain in their back, but Lietuvos Rytas coach Rimas Kurtinaitis hopes that both players will be back for Euroleague games.
The players were given a day's rest after a tiring schedule that has been with the team lately. "Everything is all right. We are in a bath-house now and we've given ourselves a day to relax. It's a pity that Sinica and Bjelica have got injured. They're both feeling back pains, due to a big load. I believe that we can rebuild our energy throughout the remaining festivities", said Kurtinaitis.
According to Kurtinaitis, both players should be available for selection for a very important game against Partizan in Euroleague. The team is to start preparing for this game in the near future. Vidas Ginevicius, who has recently recovered from an injury to his left wrist, is trying to get into the flow of the team's game.
"Vidas is OK now, he's playing more and more and is becoming better integrated into the game that we play", coach Kurtinaitis said.
