Deividas Dulkys, who played for Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius this season and was a member of the Lithuanian national team in the qualifying stage for the London Olympics, will be joining Barons Riga after they reached a loan agreement with his current club.
“The signing of Tautvydas Lydeka pushed the roster to 15 players and that’s why some players will lose some minutes in the rotation,” said Lietuvos Rytas’ director Martynas Purlys.
“We hope that Deividas will be presented with stable minutes in Barons and that will help him improve as a player.”
Dulkys averaged 10 minutes of playing time in Euroleague action and he would collect 2.3 points, 0.8 rebounds and 0.7 assists.
His averages in the VTB United League were much of the same, as he dropped an average of 2.5 points, grabbed down 1.8 rebounds and dished out 0.7 assists in 11 minutes of playing time.
The guard averaged 5.9 points, 2 rebounds and 0.7 assists in 14 minutes in the national tournament.
