Marius Prekevicius already played against Lithuanian opposition this season
The playmaker started the last season with one of the two Lithuanian basketball giants Lietuvos Rytas, but moved to Azovmash Mariupol in mid-season. Prekevicius played in Ukraine until the end of last year, leaving the club together with coach Rimas Girskis.
"Some Ukrainian and Latvian clubs called, but I didn't want to play there. I chose Siauliai as I know the management and the coach well," said Prekevicius.
The guard played 7 games in the Ukrainian League and averaged 9 points and 3,1 assists per game. Prekevicius averaged 10,7 points and 1,3 assists in VTB United League games.
American forward Brandon Brown left the club recently, as he didn't impress the management whilst playing for Siauliai.
