The rights to the 22-year-old Kelys have been in Lietuvos Rytas disposition, but the player has been playing for the team's secondary squad Perlas for the second year now.
"Zydrunas is a player with exceptional talent," said Lietuvos Rytas' chairman Jonas Vainauskas. "His career has developed to be a wavy one, he's not perfect, but with hard work he has a great opportunity to become a very high level player."
Kelys is averaging 16,5 points, 4,5 assists and 2,2 rebounds this season in the Lithuanian League (LKL). However, the point guard is a league leader in turnovers per game with 5,6 each game.
