Zalgiris players continued a marathon of games with a 78:60 (20:11, 18:13, 25:17, 15:19) victory over Aisciai in a Lithuanian League (LKL) game on Sunday.
Arturas Milaknis led Zalgiris with 13, Travis Watson added 12 while Mario Delas (10 rebounds), Marcus Brown and Povilas Butkevicius (7 rebounds) all finished with 10 points.
Marius Valukonis, with 7 rebounds, and Vytenis Lipkevicius both scored 11 points and Giedrius Kurtinaitis added 10 for Aisciai.
Zalgiris started the game with three foreigners - Travis Watson, Mario Delas and Marcus Brown, but got into the lead only with nine Milaknis points in a stretch of two minutes, which brought the distance between the teams to 20:11.
The Lithuanian power house went on a 7:0 run at the start of the second to gain a solid advantage (31:17), which Aisciai couldn’t eliminate.
Zagiris played without Aleksandr Capin, Dainius Salenga and Siim-Sander Vene in this game.
This was Zalgiris second of five games in a stretch of 8 days.
