According to one of the biggest local newspapers in Seville, the club is thinking about the next season in advance and plans to be among the big guns in the near future.
The 21-year-old Gecevicius will be one of the hottest summer bargains, however he still has a running contract after the end of the season and the only way the player would be able to part with Lietuvos Rytas is via a buyout.
"I don't know, maybe someone's interested in him, but I haven't been contacted personally. I'd like to talk about Martynas' departure only after the next season. Gecevicius will play for Lietuvos Rytas for the foreseeable future," Lietuvos Rytas' Chairman Jonas Vainauskas commented.
Gecevicius has been averaging 14,2 points, 3,3 assists and 2,9 rebounds whilst hitting 45 per cent from beyond the arch for the Lithuanian club in Euroleague.
Cajasol are currently fifth in the ACB with a 13-10 record.
