Three games were played in the Lithunian League on Friday, as flu had some games rescheduled once again.
Alytus were unable to come out on top of Suduva, as they lost 73:86 at home.
Saulius Kadzevicius had 26 for the losing side, Vytautas Tatarunas added 22 points and 9 rebounds, while Aurimas Adomaitis scored 14. Suduva was led by Mantas Ruikis, who scored 17 points, Arutimas Kieza contributed 16 points and 9 boards to the victory and Rasaun Broadus had 15.
The visitors were strong off of the start, leading 11:6 in the middle of the first quarter. Alytus could not keep up with the Sudovians and were trailing already by 14 in the second period. After a time out for the hosts Suduva's lead shrunk to 9. The last quarter had Alytus decrease the visitor advantage to 6 at one points (62:68), but Suduva struck back to make the score 75:62 and assured the important victory.
Neptunas squeezed a 72:70 victory against visiting Aisciai, who slumped to a 1-7 record, in Klaipeda.
Julius Zurna scored 22 points for Neptunas. Tomas Vilkius and Vytenis Petkus had 16 each. Aisciai were led by Mantas Kadzevicius, who had a very good night scoring 23 points and gathering 7 rebounds, and Vytenis Lipkevicius with 22 and 9 boards, as Marius Valukonis added 14 points and 8 rebounds. With 90 seconds on the clock Augustas Peciukevicius scored a two-pointer to make the score 70:67 in advantage of Aisciai. Neptunas answered with two points of their own and after succeeding on defense, Zurna drained a three-pointer to make the score 72:70. Aisciai still had 7 seconds to change the outcome, but committed a turnover in the decisive possession.
Sakalai could not overcome the guests from Panevezys in Vilnius, losing 81:89 to short-handed Techasas.
Virginijus Sirvydis had 26; Rolandas Matulis scored 18 to lead the hosts. Gintaras Leonavicius added 13 against his father's coached team. Ernestas Ezerskis scored 24 for the visitors, Tomas Cerneckis contributed 19 while Rytis Streikus had 15 and Laimonas Lukosevicius added 13. Sakalai held a lead for a short period of time early in the game, leading 11:5, but Techasas quickly recovered and went ahead in the second period to take a 12 point lead (40:28). The hosts won a 16:4 run to tie the game at 44:44. Despite a huge comeback by Sakalai, Techasas pulled ahead once again - 58:80. The fourth quarter saw the visitors build a 16 point lead at 74:58 and the Techasas take an easy victory.
