Siauliai
continued the pattern of higher seeded teams winning the first game of the
Lithuanian League (LKL) quarterfinal series as they steamrolled Techasas 113:89(29:23, 27:22, 30:21, 27:23) on Friday.
Mindaugas
Kuzminskas and Derrick Low collected 24 points each to lead the hosts, Arvydas
Siksnius scored 20 points and gathered 7 rebounds while Mindaugas Zukauskas
added 19.
Techasas’ Vaidotas Volkus had a team-high 23 points, Ernestas Ezerskis netted 20 as Karolis Petrukonis and Rytis Streikus scored 14 and 11 respectively.
Siauliai had only a three-point lead as the first half was nearing to an end, but went on a 12:4 run to increase their advantage to double-digits. The game was largely a lopsided affair in the third and fourth quarters as the home team’s lead kept on growing.
