Egidijus Dimsa scored 14 of his 20 points from the free-throw line

A double double-double from Egidijus Dimsa helped Nevezis hold of Rudupis in the battle for a place in the Baltic Basketball League (BBL) Elite division. The side from Kedainiai defeated the visitors 85:70 (24:23, 19:18, 14:16, 28:13) to move ahead 1-0 in a best-of-three series.

Egidijus Dimsa scored 20 points, 14 of which came from free-throws, and grabbed 20 rebounds to record a spectacular double-20.

Darius Gvezdauskas scored 21 for Nevezis, Tomas Rakauskas had 19 as Paulius Beliavicius added 15.

Rudupis' Povilas Sakinis went 5-of-13 from beyond the arch and tallied 20 points, Giedrius Jankauskas scored 16 and Evaldas Dainys finished with 9 points and 8 assists.

Nevezis went on a 12:4 run to go in front 72:63. Rudupis tried to regain control, but this was all to no avail as the home team managed to increase their advantage to double-digits.

The club from Kedainiai finished last in the BBL Elite division and has to win the series against Rudupis Prienai to retain their place in the league.
