Gintaras Leonavicius had a fairly successful season in Panevezys
“We’re starting to look at the financial side of things for next season and if we find the money, the coach will stay,” Techasas director Jonas Povilionis told BasketNews.lt. “Coach Leonavicius has said that we have to find the players with which he could work with. That’s what we’re trying to do now.”
Techasas had a very modest budget last season, but managed to finish sixth in the regular season of the Lithuanian League (LKL) and lost to third-placed Siauliai in the quarterfinals of the playoffs.
It is still unclear, which of the players from last season will remain in Panevezys as most of them will seek a better contract elsewhere. The club should start to take shape in July.
