Paulius Jankunas is going to wear green-and-white next season once again. The forward has signed a two year deal with Zalgiris and will return to Kaunas after spending a year abroad with Khimki Moscow Region.

The player went up through the ranks of Zalgiris and was part of the main squad from 2003 until last year when Jankunas decided to try his luck in Russia. The 26-year-old big man averaged 8.2 points and 4.9 rebounds for Khimki in Euroleague while his statistics a year ago in Zalgiris were much more impressive – 13.8 points and 8 rebounds.

Jankunas is currently training with the Lithuanian national team alongside fellow teammates Tadas Klimavicius, Martynas Pocius and Mantas Kalnietis.

In my mind, sticking the frontline with so many good player is insensible and foolish, Zalgiris could have strengthened other positions instead.

Yahoooo It's really very cool!

With Klimavichus, Jankunas, Watson, and Omar Samhan we will bring LR down in both Baltic league aswell as championship, and hope to reach at least ¼ Euroleague.
