The candidate list for the Lithuanian national team thinned out once again. After injuring his tarsus for the second time, Mindaugas Katelynas had to leave the training camp.

Katelynas got injured already in the first days of the training camp in Druskininkai and after the same injury repeated itself, it was clear that rehab would take 2-3 weeks. The coaching staff decided that it wasn’t worth the wait.

“It is very unfortunate, that this happened. Mindaugas left a really good impression and I was very happy with his work. We’ll definitely see him in national team training camps in the future,” coach Kestutis Kemzura reacted to the unfortunate turn of events.

With Katelynas out of the team, there are only five big man in the roster: Robertas Javtokas, Martynas Andriuskevicius, Paulius Jankunas, Tadas Klimavicius and Donatas Motiejunas.
