The Lithuanian national team swept another opponent in Vilnius, which is hosting the U18 European Championship. The hosts left Greece flat-footed and won the quarterfinal game 84-51 (19-16, 23-10, 25-16, 17-9) to advance to the semifinal.

Serbia, who defeated Poland 75-57 in another quarterfinal, will be the Lithuanian opponent in the semifinal.

Due to a slow start the home team fell behind slightly, trailing 8-10 in the middle of the first period, but that was pretty much all the Greeks had to offer. Edgaras Ulanovas scored nine straight points for Lithuania, who went on a 16-6 run following the solo show by Ulanovas to reach a double-digit lead at 35-22.

Greece tried to work their way back into the game in the second half, but their effort was put to waste by a terrible end to the third period, when Lithuania went on another run to make the score 67-42 and put the last questions in this game aside.

Dovydas Redikas nailed 3-of-4 from beyond the arch to collect 19 points all together, Devidas Pukis scored 15 points and 7 rebounds as Zygimantas Skucas and Edgaras Ulanovas had 12 and 11 points respectively.

Jonas Valanciunas had another double-double despite a being slowed down offensively – 10 points and 17 rebounds as Vytenis Cizauskas added 5 points and 9 assists.
