Both of the strongest Lithuanian clubs found out their opponents in the VTB United League. Lietuvos Rytas and Zalgiris, together with another ten clubs were divided into two groups of six teams.
The Lithuanian champions Lietuvos Rytas will play in Group A together with CSKA Moscow, Unics Kazan, Minsk-2006, Dnipro Dnepropetrovsk and Honka Espoo.
Zalgiris will be in Group B just like Asseco Prokom Gdynia, Khimki Moscow Region, Azovmash Mariupol, Kalev Tallinn and VEF Riga.
Teams will play in two games against their group opponents and the two top teams from each group will advance to the Final Four.
Zalgiris’ players took the third place in the league last year after defeating Khimki in the battle for the bronze medals.
