Kestutis Kemzura, the head coach of team Lithuania, has already made his mind up about the two last cuts from the roster. However, the whole country will have to wait for an official announcement on Sunday evening when the team returns to Lithuania.

“Let’s wait until we return to Lithuania and there will be an official announcement,” Kemzura told BasketNews.lt in Madrid. “The decision has already been made.”

The three candidates likely fighting for the two remaining spots are shooting guards Martynas Pocius and Mindaugas Lukauskis as well as point guard Arvydas Eitutavicus.

The Lithuanian national side lost both of its games in Madrid – first against Spain and also slumped to a 61-77 defeat to team USA yesterday.

Kestutis Kemzura about yesterday's game: “Our main goal wasn’t winning. We tried to win but only alongside other issues we had at hand. The players showed the character and stuck to the plan which we had prepared before the game – we fought.

It’s hard to keep the intensity with a small rotation and we wanted to get most of our guys involved. We lacked sharpness, made a lot of mistakes and in result committed a lot of turnovers.

We have to be more aware and improve the understanding between each other. Team USA punished us for this without hesitating. Our biggest problem is rebounding. We can eliminate this by concentration.”
