Rumors linking Jasikevicius to Aris

25 Sep 2010, 04:24 PM

Sarunas Jasikevicius' future is still unclear
The Lithuanian legend Sarunas Jasikevicius is still club-less even though the European basketball season is about to kick off. It seems that Saras is so determined to stay in Greece that recent rumors started linking the 34-year-old playmaker to Aris Thessaloniki.

Jasikevicius was willing to take a massive pay-cut and play for much less than the previous season just to stay in Panathinaikos, but this was to no avail. The head coach of the club, Zeljko Obradovic, put an end to Saras' career in Athens.

“Jasikevicius is still a great player, but he is not a part of our team anymore,” Obradovic commented on the situation with the Lithuanian.

The player’s desire to stay in Greece is mostly influenced by the fact that he has just become a father and his girlfriend is Greek.

This guy still remains a mystery for me !

If he absolutely wants to stay in Greece for family reason, I think that it is better for him to stop playing and open an hotel or do something else.

For sure he has no more place in Zalgiris now because we have the funny and great DC !

Not a bad suggestion! However, with the signing of Delininkaitis, it looks even more unlikely. Impossible, I'd say...
