
The game was tied at 30-30 when Martynas Gecevicius scored 10 of his team points in a 12-2 run late in the second quarter which saw the hosts take a 42-32 lead.
Gecevicius and Kenan Bajramovic were the go-to guys for the home side as the gap between the sides grew even further in the third period, reaching 20 points (70-50) before Nevezis shrunk it a little bit to avoid humiliation.
Gecevicius finished the game with 25 points missing only one shot in the process for a total ranking of 31. Kenan Bajramovic added 20 points while Brad Newley had a great all-around performance with 9 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals for Lietuvos Rytas.
Nevezis’ point guard Rolandas Alijevas had a team-high 22 points and 4 assists, Paulius Beliavicius and Lukas Brazdauskis scored 12 each while Egidijus Dimsa added 11.
Roberts Stelmahers stood at the helm of Lietuvos Rytas for this game as the former coach Drazen Anzulovic got sacked before the LKL opener.
