Jerry Johnson will not have to miss the rest of the season as it became clear that the injury that the guard received on Wednesday isn’t so severe. The 28-year-old American will still be sidelined for about two months, but not for the remainder of the season as thought previously.

It is reported that the fractured Achilles tendon will not allow Johnson to re-join the team for about 6 to 7 weeks. The player’s foot will be in a cast for the first three weeks before the guard can start the rehabilitation process.

“I can’t really understand how I got injured. There wasn’t any contact and I probably just twisted my foot running on offense,” Johsnon said after receiving the injury on Wednesday.
