Kelys to finish season in Perlas

It looks like Lietuvos Rytas will have settled down to a more or less stable roster after a decision to send Zydrunas Kelys out on loan to Perlas was taken by the club’s management. The point guard had been recovering from a wrist injury before returning to the court last week against Naglis in the Lithuanian League.

After signing a long-term deal with Lietuvos Rytas in February of 2010, Kelys was playing in Perlas before being promoted to the first team. However, the guard’s career was stopped for some while due to an injury and it is thought that Kelys will get much more playing time in Perlas, than he would’ve gotten at Rytas, especially with the arrival of American combo-guard D.J. Strawberry.
