It was a thrilling match, but Zalgiris should only blame themselves for giving eye-candy to the spectators, as it was a huge amount of turnovers that kept the game close, but the club from Kaunas managed to show that they were still slightly stronger on the night and will meet Lietuvos Rytas in the final tomorrow.

“The good thing is that we played by far the worst game at my time here. We lacked concentration and sixteen turnovers in the first half, a lot of missed open shots were all bad but at least we played defense and won the game. Tomorrow is a different game and I’m sure my players will give everything to win this Cup,” said Zalgiris’ coach Ilias Zouros.
Paulius Jankunas collected 20 points and added 7 rebounds to lead Zalgiris, Marcus Brown scored 11 points, including to very important three-pointers as Trent Plaisted was two rebounds shy of a double-double with 10 points and 8 boards.
“It was a great game. Winning against Zalgiris or Lietuvos Rytas is our biggest dream. I can tell my players that they deserved to win. I don’t want to criticize anyone, but you know… The players are worth a good word – they really tried hard,” said Rudupis’ coach Virginijus Seskus.
The on-loan Zalgiris player Adas Juskevicius top-scored Rudupis with 18 points and also grabbed 7 rebounds, while former Lietuvos Rytas player Evaldas Dainys managed to collect 14 points and 6 assists before fouling out. Evaladas Zelionis and Justas Sinica shared 12 points each as Gediminas Orelikas had 7.
