Lietuvos Rytas might have ended their season in the VTB United League sooner than they would’ve hoped before the season, but in truly spectacular fashion. The Lithuanian champions defeated Dnipro Dnepropetrovsk 116-78 (32-16, 36-21, 23-18, 25-23) in a high-paced run-and-gun game, which acted as eye-candy for the home crowd in Vilnius.

The home team had scored 91 points even before the fourth quarter had begun and the outcome of the game was pretty much decided already after the first quarter which Lietuvos Rytas won by 16 points. Each of the 11 players that appeared on the court for hosts, managed to make a mark on the game scoring at least four points.

Martynas Gecevicius bounced back from a poor game against Siauliai with a 24-point performance, Milko Bjelica was effective both inside and out finishing the game with 16 while Steponas Babrauskas and Jonas Valanciunas added 14 points each for Lietuvos Rytas.

Steven Burtt had a team-high 19 points for the visitors from Dnepropetrovsk, Denham Brown contributed by scoring 16 points, while Mario Austin ended the game with 12 points in his account.
