It appears that Sherron Collins might not be coming to Lithuania after all. Despite official reports from Lietuvos Rytas, that terms had been agreed, the club’s tone has taken a slight twist.

“We have been proposed a new player and we are rather excited about the proposal. We haven’t made up our minds about Collins, with whom the contract isn’t signed yet. Everything will become clear this week,” said Martynas Purlys, the club’s General Manager.

The new point guard will replace Khalid El-Amin, who got injured in Lietuvos Rytas’ last Euroleague game of the season against Caja Laboral.

Looks like the Rytas management is taking a closer examination of their new recruit and is really invested in the future of this team. After all, they came very close of making the playoffs this season and would therefore want to make further push in the league to ensure that they can reach the rank of highly competitive teams in the league.
