Donatas Motiejunas has been awarded the Eurocup Rising Star Trophy
One of the top European prospects, who is originally from Kaunas, finally managed to get a regular starting job for the Treviso side and has been an important part of Benetton’s offensive schemes.
Motiejunas has improved his statistics noticeably from last season, averaging 11.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in Eurocup this season.
The Rising Star Trophy is awarded to a player under the age of 22, who has left the biggest mark in Eurocup season. Former winners include such Euroleague players as Valencia’s swingman Victor Claver and ex-Hemofarm big man Milan Macvan, who is currently playing for Maccabi.
