After signing Vidas Ginevicius only three weeks ago, Lietuvos Rytas has already lost the player to injury.
The 31 year-old player hurt his wrist during Saturday's BBL game against VEF in Riga. As it is clear now, Ginevicius has broken a metacarpal bone. A surgery was carried out on Sunday. As a result of the injury, Ginevicius will be sidelined for at least a month and a half.
The substitute point guard played in three LKL games after signing the contract with the Lithuanian champions Lietuvos Rytas and averaged 5,7 points, 1,3 rebounds and 2,3 assists during the average 21 minutes he played a game.
