It seems that things can never go without scandal when Vladimir Romanov is involved. There seems to have been a conflict between Zalgiris’ owner and the club’s American players after the Greens allowed Lietuvos Rytas to even the Lithuanian League (LKL) finals series in the second game, 15min.lt reports.

According to sources, Romanov let his anger explode in the team’s changing room going head-to-head with veteran guard Marcus Brown, accusing him of negligence and threatening not to pay his wages. Brown was not the only player to get a taste of Romanov’s fumes, as DeJuan Collins stood up for his teammate while other players separated the conflicting sides.

It has been reported, that three Zalgiris players – Brown, Collins and Travis Watson – didn’t travel back to Kaunas with the team and stayed in Vilnius instead. Despite that, all three showed up in the team’s morning practice the next day.
