Lietuvos Rytas adds Dilys for next season

Few players in Lithuania have had a better year than Vilmantas Dilys, who finally blossomed in full bloom in his break-out year. The 23-year-old player will have an opportunity to prove his worth in a higher level, as Lietuvos Rytas inked the lanky forward to a two year deal with a team option for an extra year.

Dilys started the season in Naglis Palanga, but moved to Vilnius after signing a contract with Perlas midway through the year. The skilled power forward was averaging 15.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game as well as an additional 1.3 steals in the Lithuanian League (LKL), where he was the leader in the both teams he played in.

This is the second new addition in this off-season for Lietuvos Rytas, who also signed the 25-year-old Macedonian big man Predrag Samardziski recently. The club is also set to bring Serbian specialist Aleksandar Dzikic to replace Darius Maskoliunas in the sidelines.
