Martynas Gecevicius will be a common name in the rumour mill this summer, despite the fact that the guard still has one year on his deal with Lietuvos Rytas. The 21-year-old guard has attracted the interest of many European clubs, which would be willing to pay the buyout.

Amongst the possible destinations for Gecevicius are the names of some strong European teams – Efes, Unics and Caja Laboral, Sportando.net reports.

It is speculated that Gecevicius is not in Lietuvos Rytas plans for next year’s roster as the club from Vilnius inked another Lithuania international Renaldas Seibutis to a three-year deal.

Gecevicius was one of Lietuvos Rytas leaders this season, averaging 11.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game in Euroleague. The guard’s statistics in the Lithuanian League (LKL) were similar – an average of 11.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists.
