The acquisition of the 28-year-old Lithuanian power forward rounds out a
productive summer for the club from the Lithuanian capital and is already the
sixth new face in the team.
Lietuvos Rytas had already reached agreements with Tyrese Rice, Lawrence
Roberts, Predrag Samardziski and Renaldas Seibutis as well as with Serbian specialist
Aleksandar Dzikic.
Katelynas spent the last year playing for Cajasol Seville and ended up
marching to the Eurocup final, where the team lost to Unics Kazan. The
Lithuanian averaged 8.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game in the club’s European
campaign.
