“From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank the fans from all the different countries, who supported me. A special thanks to the best fans in Europe – Zalgiris fans and all Lithuanian. It’s a very emotional time for me,” said Brown, who came to Lithuania in 2007.
The player will be honoured during the opening game of the Euroleague season between Zalgiris and CSKA Moscow in the new Zalgiris Arena on Monday next week.
Apart from short stints in the NBA with the Portland Trail Blazers and Detroit Pistons, Brown has spent the rest of his career playing in Europe and has played for Elan Bearnais, CSP Limoges, Benetton Treviso, Efes Pilsen Istanbul, Unicaja Malaga, CSKA Moscow and Maccabi Tel Aviv.
