Rarely does
a team score less than 12 points a quarter, let alone the whole game, but that
is exactly what the DPV Vilnius women’s basketball team managed to collect in
the Lithuanian Basketball Federation (LKF) Women’s Cup B Group game against Sirenos
Kaunas.
The Vilnius
side scored six points in the first period, but went on to score only two
points each in the rest three quarters, ending the game with a humiliating 122-12 (32-6, 28-2, 35-2, 27-2) loss
the team from the Kaunas district.
The winners
of the game, Sirenos, currently rank third the premier division of Lithuanian
women’s basketball (LMKL), while DPV Vilnius are playing in the second division
(LMKAL) and are placed third two games into the season.
