Italian champions Montepaschi Siena have lost both of the team’s Lithuanians to injury, as Ksystof Lavrinovic followed Rimantas Kaukenas on the surgery table.
Lavrinovic will be out of rotation for at least
two months after a successful back surgery. Back problems have been bothering
Lavrinovic even before EuroBasket and forced the player to miss three games in
the tournament.
The situation is grimmer for Kaukenas, who will
be forced to miss the rest of the season having torn his ACL. The injury puts
big doubts over whether the player would be able to help the Lithuanian
national team the upcoming summer.
