Having lost
Dainius Salenga to Zalgiris, Rudupis signed a one-year deal with another former
Zalgiris player Arturas Milaknis. The 25-year-old guard parted ways with
Zalgiris in the beginning of the season and had been without a club since.
Earlier, there were
talks about Milaknis joining Asseco Prokom, whose Lithuanian coach Tomas
Pacesas had shown interest in the sharpshooter, but the move didn’t come
through.
The
two-time Lithuanian League (LKL) champion averaged 6.1 points and 1.5 rebounds
for Zalgiris last season, but was stuck on the bench for the start of the new
season before being given the sack by the club from Kaunas.
