Lietuvos Rytas wasted a big lead in the NIJT L’Hospitalet final against Barcelona, but still prevailed 72-68 (22-7, 25-22, 12-19, 13-20) to take the first place in the tournament.
The
youngsters from Vilnius had finished second in the group behind Joventut, but
that didn’t stop them from taking a big win against the other group’s top seed
Cajasol before winning the final as well.

Jankaitis was given the MVP honors after scoring 21 points in the decisive game
and averaging 16 points and 6.2 rebounds in the tournament in general.
The
All-Tournament team included another Lithuanian, as Edvinas Seskus was chosen
amongst the top players of the competition, despite averaging only 8.4 points
and 4.4 rebounds.
