Brad Newley
will finish the season in Spain after Valencia Basket bought out the player’s
contract with Lietuvos Rytas that was supposed to last until the end of the
year.
Tonight’s
game against CSKA will be the last for the Australian swingman, who hasn’t had
a successful year so far, averaging only 4.5 points and 3.4 rebounds for the
Vilnius club in the Lithuanian League (LKL).
Newley, who
according to BasketNews.lt had one of the biggest salaries in the club, didn’t
play a single game in the Eurocup, having been sidelined with injuries for the
first couple of months of the season.
