Zalgiris was reported to be amongst the four teams interested in the
services of former Maccabi Tel Aviv guard Doron Perkins, but the team’s coach Aleksandar Trifunovic denied these talks and called any changes in the club
unlikely.
“I don’t know anything about acquiring Perkins. All I know is that he is
looking for a club and that he’s recovered from an injury. The deadline for
registering new players is approaching, but I think we will start the Top 16
with our current roster,” said the Serbian specialist.
Perkins, who averaged 9.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists in Euroleague before the injury, is also linked with Partizan, Spirou and Azovmash.
