
Lietuvos Rytas started the Last 16 round of
Eurocup on the wrong foot, losing 67-81 (16-20, 10-20, 22-13, 14-9, 5-19) to
Lokomotiv after overtime on the road in Russia.
It was the first defeat for the Lithuanian side
in the competition, after marching through the first stage with a clean 6-0
record.
Steponas Babrauskas led Lietuvos Rytas in
scoring with 17 points, Renaldas Seibutis had 15, Tyrese Rice chipped in with
nine points, while Jonas Valanciunas finished with eight points and 13 rebounds
for the team from Vilnius.
Jerremiah Massey had 17 points for Lokomotiv,
Ali Traore scored 15 points and grabbed nine boards, while Kelvin Rivers and
Roderick Blakney ended up scoring 13 points each.
