Zalgiris inscribed
yet another victory in the Lithuanian League (LKL), destroying Palanga 101-58 (23-15, 25-20, 28-10, 25-13) in
Kaunas on Monday evening.
The defending
LKL champions are confidently on the top of the league with a 14-0 record,
while Palanga are in the opposite end of the table with only two wins in 15
games.
Milovan
Rakovic scored 24 points for the home team, Mantas Kalnietis had 14 points and
seven assists, while Paulius Jankunas and Tadas Klimavicius both added 12
points and seven rebounds.
The 19-year-old
Palanga talent Mantas Mockevicius led the visitors with 12 points, Augustinas
Vitas also scored 12, while Mindaugas Reminas added eight.
