Zalgiris managed to defend the Lithuanian Cup without even breaking a sweat in the final, crushing Pieno Zvaigzdes 99-62 (20-9, 27-8, 26-23, 26-22) in the final on Saturday evening in Kaunas.

The captain of Zalgiris, Paulius Jankunas was named the MVP of the Lithuanian Cup Final Four, leading the team in scoring in the final with 14 points.

Milovan Rakovic scored 11, while five players – Marko Popovic, Vytenis Lipkevicius, Mantas Kalnietis, Tomas Delininkaitis and Robertas Javtokas – all finished the game with 10 points each.

Pieno Zvaigzdes sharp-shooter Eimantas Bendzius had a game-high 16 points for the Pasvalys side, Aurimas Kieza scored 12, while Zydrunas Kelys contributed with seven points.

Earlier in the day, Kedainiai defeated Rudupis 69-65 (19-10, 20-15, 9-18, 21-22) in the bronze-medal game.

Vidas Ginevicius and David McClure led Kedainiai with 15 points each, Egidijus Dimsa scored 14, while Vytautas Sulskis added 11 points.

Gintaras Kadziulis was the top-scorer for Rudupis with 21 points, while no other players finished in double-digits. Arturas Milaknis had nine points and Povilas Butkevicius finished with eight.
