
Robertas Javtokas broke the rim with a powerful put-back dunk in Samara, as Zalgiris strolled to an easy 79-59 (21-18, 21-10, 21-14, 16-17) victory over Krasnye Krylia in the VTB United League on Wednesday.
The Lithuanians started the game well, going ahead
17-9 already in the first quarter, but Krasnye Krylia managed to get straight
back into the game. Robertas Javtokas started the second quarter by breaking
the rim with a powerful put-back dunk, which delayed the game for around 15
minutes.
Paulius Jankunas scored 17 points, Robertas Javtokas had 12 points and 7 rebounds, while Tadas Klimavicius and Milovan Rakovic added 10 points each for Zalgiris.
Lionnel Rush had a game-high 18 points for the hosts, with Aaron Miles and Nikita Balashov chipping in with 9 and 8 points respectively.
The fourth win in the last five games allowed Zalgiris to improve to 6-6, while the Russian side dropped to a 7-8 record following the loss against the Lithuanian champions.
