Lietuvos Rytas cruised to an easy victory against Minsk-2006 at home in Siemens Arena, taking a big 112-86 (23-21, 28-13, 23-25, 38-27)victory against the side from Belarus on Friday evening in the VTB United League.
The Lithuanians finished third in Group B of the VTB League and could very possibly face Zalgiris in the quarterfinals, if the team from Kaunas finishes fourth in Group A.
Renaldas Seibutis led the hosts with 20 points, Jonas Valanciunas added a double-double of 14 points and 14 rebounds, also blocking three shots, while Steponas Babrauskas chipped in with 13 points.
For the visitors from Belarus, Justin Knox scored 18 points and grabbed 7 boards, Aliaksandr Kudrautsau scored 15, while Bobby Maze had a good all-around performance with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists.
