A day after fending off the third-placed Rudupis, Lietuvos Rytas unexpectedly finished the back-to-back with a loss to Kedainiai in the Lithuanian League (LKL) game, losing 84-86 (28-21, 18-15, 11-24, 27-26) at home in Vilnius.

Having had the lead for three quarters, the hosts wasted an 11-point advantage just before the fourth quarter and then allowed Kedainiai to go into a double-digit lead with an 11-0 run.

Although Lietuvos Rytas managed to chip down the deficit to two points, they could not make the final push and make a breakthrough.

Renaldas Seibutis was the top-scorer for Lietuvos Rytas with 20 points, Aleksandar Rasic had 15 points, while Mindaugas Katelynas finished the game with 12 points for the hosts.

David McClure had 23 points and 8 rebounds to lead Kedainiai, Egidijus Dimsa scored 18, while Vidas Ginevicius and Vytenis Jasikevicius chipped in with 11 and 10 respectively.
