
A day after
fending off the third-placed Rudupis, Lietuvos Rytas unexpectedly finished the
back-to-back with a loss to Kedainiai in the Lithuanian League (LKL) game,
losing 84-86 (28-21, 18-15, 11-24,
27-26) at home in Vilnius.
Having had
the lead for three quarters, the hosts wasted an 11-point advantage just before
the fourth quarter and then allowed Kedainiai to go into a double-digit lead
with an 11-0 run.
Although
Lietuvos Rytas managed to chip down the deficit to two points, they could not
make the final push and make a breakthrough.
Renaldas
Seibutis was the top-scorer for Lietuvos Rytas with 20 points, Aleksandar Rasic
had 15 points, while Mindaugas Katelynas finished the game with 12 points for
the hosts.
David
McClure had 23 points and 8 rebounds to lead Kedainiai, Egidijus Dimsa scored
18, while Vidas Ginevicius and Vytenis Jasikevicius chipped in with 11 and 10
respectively.
