Amongst the
flurry of rumors surrounding Lietuvos Rytas, it has been reported that one of
France’s top talents Leo Westermann has drawn serious interest from the
Lithuanian club.
According
to Catch & Shoot, the team from Vilnius is not the only one, interested in
signing the 19-year-old French prospect, who spent the last couple of seasons
with Asvel Vileurbanne. Reportedly, teams from Spain and Italy have also expressed
the wish to sign Westermann.
As sources told LithuaniaBasketball.com, the French guard would prefer to play in Western Europe, rather than Lithuania.
The player
averaged 8.8 points, 3.3 assists and 2.6 rebounds for Asvel in the French Pro
A, while scoring 6.0 points and dishing out 3.6 assists per game in Eurocup
this season.
