The name of Deividas Dulkys has once again been thrown into the rumor mill by reports about the 24-year-old guard signing with Lithuanian runners-up Lietuvos Rytas. However, the player, who is currently training with the Lithuanian national team in Houston, was surprised to hear the news.
“It’s nice to hear my name being linked with a club like Lietuvos Rytas, but, at this point, there really is nothing to confirm,” Dulkys told LithuaniaBasketball.com.
The Lithuania international has also been linked with Zalgiris Kaunas, but, according to the player, he is still in the process of making a decision about where he will play next season.
“I’m still a free agent and haven’t signed a contract with anyone yet. I’m weighing in my current options and waiting for new offers at the same time,” Dulkys explained the situation.
During his senior year at Florida State, the sharpshooter averaged 7.0 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game, shooting 38% from beyond the three-point line and won the ACC Crown with the Seminoles.
The highlight of Duklys’ college career came against North Carolina, when the Lithuanian poured in 32 points on the defense, leading the Noles to a memorable victory.
