Neptunas Klaipeda is strengthening its roster and gearing up for what could be a breakthrough season for the seaside club, which will be making a debut in the VTB League.
The team announced having signed point guard Rashaun Broadus to a one-year deal. The 28-year-old played for Siauliai last season, averaging 10 points, 3 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game in the LKL.
Neptunas had already previously added another American player Dane Johnson, who will look to be the backbone of the club’s frontcourt after a strong season in the nearby Palanga.
The side from Klaipeda also extended deals with Martynas Mazeika and Evaldas Dainys, while Mindaugas Girdziunas, Raimundas Danys, Mindaugas Stasys and Modestas Kumpys are still under contract, too.
Kazys Maksvytis will be in charge of the club for next season after yet another successful summer, marked by gold in the U20 European Championship. Former player Tomas Rinkevicius will take the assistant’s seat.
