Zalgiris Kaunas added another piece to the
roster for next season, signing Ksystof Lavrinovic to a two-year deal as well
as renewing the contract with Tadas Klimavicius.
Lavrinovic spent the last five seasons with
Montepaschi Siena, but the Italian club will come into the new season with a
smaller budget and couldn’t keep the big man, who will join forces with his
twin Darjus in Zalgiris.
In addition to inking the Lavrinovic twins, the
club also brought in guard Rimantas Kaukenas and small forward Tremmell Darden.
Despite not being able to fit into Aleksandar
Trifunovic’s playing schemes last season, Tadas Klimavicius will also remain in
the club after the new head coach Joan Plaza expressed the wish to keep the
power forward.
Zalgiris are still looking to add two players
at the guard positions. The names of the players should be announced soon.
