Zalgiris Kaunas finished building its roster
for next season by adding two more pieces to the squad in Oliver Lafayette and Adas Juskevicius.
The 27-year-old Lafayette, who signed a
one-year contract with Zalgiris, started the last season in Poland,
representing Asseco Prokom, but moved to Turkish side Anadolu Efes midway
through the season.
The American point guard had an average of 9.9
points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists in Euroleague during his time at both
teams.
Zalgiris also brought back the 23-year-old
sharp-shooter Adas Juskevicius, who spent the last couple of years on load at
Rudupis Prienai.
The combo guard’s former contract with the club
had expired, but Zalgiris brought the talented player on board for two more
years.
Juskevicius averaged 10.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists for Rudupis in the Lithuanian League (LKL), while collecting 15.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game in the Baltic Basketball League (BBL).
