Pieno
Zvaigzdes continued its productive summer market activity by adding Edgaras
Ulanovas, who led Lithuania to the U20 European Championship crown in Slovenia.
The 20-year-old
small forward was chosen to the All-Tournament team after he took over as the
leader of the team in absence of star big man Jonas Valanciunas, averaging 14.3
points and 5.4 rebounds.
Ulanovas,
who still has a long-term deal with Zalgiris Kaunas, was on the radar of
multiple Lithuanian League (LKL) teams, but the player decided to choose
Pasvalys, where he was promised a starting role.
Neptunas
Klaipeda, who are coached by the Lithuania U20 coach Kazys Maksvytis, was also
very interested in getting the player on loan, but the team already has Deividas Gailius and Martynas Mazeika on the wings.
Ulanovas
spent the last season in Baltai Kaunas, where he was averaging 9 points, 3.5
rebounds and 1.9 assists per game in LKL.
