Lietkabelis finally received a long-awaited and much-anticipated reinforcement, as Zalgiris Kaunas officially agreed to loan four prospects to the Panevezys side.
With the ownership of the two clubs linked closely together, it was more a question of time, when the Lithuanian champions would announce the agreement.
Tauras Jogela and Mindaugas Kupsas are already practicing in Panevezys, while Arnas Butkevicius and the Latvian point guard Kaspars Vecvagars will join the team in the start of September.
It will be the first season in the Lithuanian League (LKL) for the 19-year-old prospect Tauras Jogela, who spent the last season with Zalgiris-Sabonis Basketball School team in the Second Division (NKL), averaging 13.1 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.
Another addition of the club is the NBA Draft hopeful Mindaugas Kupsas. The big man spent the last season with Baltai Kaunas, where he averaged 8.0 points and 3.9 rebounds in the LKL.
Arnas Butkevicius was part of the U20 European Championship winning team in Slovenia this summer, while Kaspars Vecvagars is currently with the Latvian senior side, participating in the 2013 EuroBasket Qualifiers.
